What do you get if you combine some tennis with ping pong and badminton?

" It's the fastest growing sport in the Hudson Valley.
It's a great game for seniors and young alike,'' says Bob Myerson,
the owner and director at Rhinebeck Tennis Club, which now offers indoor pickleball.

"It's fun and affordable. You don't have to buy a lot of equipment. It gives you a nice cardio workout without stretching yourself too much. You don't have to be too skilled but like any sport you can take it to a higher level. It's a very social kind of sport and our approach to the social element is very important. People are looking for a social, fun activity and exercise.''

Bob Myerson, who has been playing tennis for over 40 years, also enjoys a game of pickleball.

"It's one of those games that can be competitive like tennis or ping pong or it can be relaxing and fun played at a slower pace. It's the kind of game where you're not running like crazy and people of any age can do it,'' he said.

"It's a nice place to socialize and meet other people.''
